FFH FOUNDATION FELLOWSHIP
This is one of our two main awards - an annual fellowship of up to US$15,000 for a non full-time photographer keen to focus on photography as a career and probably within the humanitarian or cultural field, but who needs that final push or help to overcome that last barrier that is stopping them turning full-time. The fellowship is awarded by means of a competitive portfolio review and an assessment of an online application form. The lucky recipient has the choice of either undertaking their own assignment or working with one of the Advisory Council on a new assignment with an NGO. Included in the award is a year's membership of the IGVP, mentoring with one of the Guild members, business and digital marketing coaching and advice and a grant of up to US$5,000 towards new equipment.

WORKSHOP GRANTS
Through our relationship with the IGVP, we are able to secure a place on the much-sought after workshops of Guild members such as David duChemin, Gavin Gough, Matt Brandon, Jeffrey Chapman, Karl Grobl and Edoardo Agresti. These workshops typically cost about US$5000 for a week, excluding travel to the location. They are a fantastic opportunity to improve your craft and to really learn from the masters what it takes to become a successful photographer. This is a key rite of passage for anyone thinking of turning full-time. The Workshop grant covers the full cost of the workshop. In exceptional cases we may also cover the cost of travel to the workshop. Preference is made for IGVP members, and you can increase your chances of winning one of these coveted places by becoming an IGVP community member.
